Chapin got their start way back in 1884 when Ralph Chapin began making improvements on the cans that carted kerosene around. Later, they set up manufacturing in Batavia and began to pump out a long line of products, that today are still produced.
This vintage green pump sprayer was used to spray for bugs. The label has peeled slightly and there’s a little bit of oxidation, as well a white letter “C” painted on the head (no doubt the original owner wanting to mark his stuff). Super fun piece of Batavia’s history!
