Known as the Grand Canyon of the Adirondacks, the splendid glory of Ausable Chasm has been calling to visitors since 1760 when explorer Major John Howe visited. Then, in 1870 when the park first became open to the public, it quickly became a tourist destination for visitors near and far.
This booklet features postcard-like photos from Ausable Chasm and would’ve been purchased at a gift shop or visitor center. Listings on other websites cite this publication to date as far back as 1920.
It’s in outstanding condition with no rips or tears, just an ever-so-slight yellowing and very, very faint “old book smell”. For almost 100 years old, this condition this was found in is pretty impressive!
